TV for Hotels – Future Proof Your TV Distribution System
Analog > Digital > High Definition
For many hotels, the transition from Analog to full digital or HD TV distribution is just not possible. The cost of installing HD TVs is beyond your current budget, hotel renovations are proceeding in stages, or the infrastructure will not support it.
What you need is a way to convert the incoming HD signal from the broadcast to an SD signal that you can then push out to the remaining SD TVs being used on your property.

DIRECTV COM3000 HD/4K HEADEND SYSTEM
The smallest and most powerful headend TV system available
Now there is a solution, the COM2000 with analog output
The COM2000 headend now has the ability to support SD analog content simultaneously with Pro:Idiom™ encrypted HD without the need for additional set-top boxes.
Technicolor’s NTSC-8 is a low cost alternative to stacked receiver based SMATV systems by adding analog channel output to the COM2000. The solution is perfect for mixed HD/SD properties, installations requiring a fitness center solution, or as a direct replacement for analog only properties.
The simple and easy to use COM2000 configuration interface is extended to setup the analog component. New analog output features include independent adjustments for RF output level, Audio Level and Sharpness to best format video output for each individual deployment.

The Technicolor NTSC-8
For properties that cannot make a complete conversion to digital content, the NTSC-8 allows for the COM46 content to be output both in digital format to the QAM as well as an IP output to the NTSC-8 which will provide a NTSC formatted analog output.
This replaces any requirement for a stacked receiver solution using mini-mods to duplicate channels for fitness centers or other TV’s unable to support HD or SD digital content. The NTSC-8 is completely agile for each of the 8 outputs allowing for flexibility in RF plant management.
Controlled by the COM2000
The NTSC-8 is controlled by the COM2000 using the same interface which controls the COM46 and QAM6. Independent adjustments for RF output level, Audio Level and sharpness will assist the installation to best format the output video for each individual deployment.
